“Our collaborative partnership continued as the Rowes hosted a racial healing conference, Tearing Down Dividing Walls, which brought them national attention. They were keynote speakers at an international healing conference, along with Francis MacNutt, and have contributed an appendix on the healing of ethnic shame…. A passion for those in the one-down position has been a powerful catalyst and inspiration to me and to hundreds of others.” (C. Greco)
SPOTLIGHT: THE CYRENE MOVEMENT
Nicholas and Sheila started an online community, The Cyrene Movement.
The Mission of The Cyrene Movement is to do the work of the kingdom through our Christ-centered outreach and services to people of color (POC) from across America and around the world.
Although POC are resilient many of us are weary or embattled as we combat ongoing racism and micro-aggression. The Cyrene Movement is an online Christian community where POC come together and as we share our struggles like Simon of Cyrene we help lift each other’s burdens. The Cyrene Movement offer courses, resources, online support and prayer as we heal from racial trauma, share our joys, realize our full potential and to then go forward as a movement of POC empowered to embrace, reconcile and transform communities for Christ.
